when should my MOH and BM start looking for their dress and suit?

We started looking at dresses about 6-8 months in advance.

A David’s Bridal consultant said 6 months for MOH. Not sure about BM but I’d imagine around the same time

It's okay to start looking! A final order usually doesn't need to be made until 4-5 months out

When it came to my MOH and bridesmaids, they gave me a date I should have the order in, so they arrive on time. Because of my color, they had to be special ordered (the dress is available in the color but they dont typically make the dress in that color for showroom). They ordered in July with a estimated date of September, but we got lucky and they came in early. Once you know what dress they will be wearing, ask about a timeline.

For the Best Man and groomsman, it depends on where you rent, season (peak vs non-peak season), what tux... etc. Talk to the place you're getting them through and ask their opinion. My FH got measured 1 month before his sisters wedding (non-peak season) but for our wedding, they had everyone measured almost 2 months in advance because of how busy they are for our month.
