Modify an illusion neckline

The left is more what I want (a little less revealing) the right is the dress I'm going to order.

Why don't you just get the dress without the neckline- which - IMHO- isn't an illusion- it's a full on high lace neck. I'm sure you can find the same dress with the right neckline- esp if you haven't ordered it yet.

Yes it's an allure dress. I have been looking for the same dress without the high neck line, but I'm not having much luck. I will ask the bridal store before I order it, but just wanted other opinions.

Who makes the dress on the left? Maybe try to find the same one. I would definitely check with seamstress if you do order the one with the high neckline. I happen to like it the way it is though..very pretty on you!

I would try to find the dress you want. The alterations could be expensive and may not turn out how you want because of fabric strength

Yeah that's not quite an illusion neckline. It probably could be altering but might be tricky with the lace. Consult alterations before purchasing.

Aw, I love the neckline the way it is. Very elegant, and totally classic. It's your day though! Lace is hard to modify, so I'd check with a seamstress before ordering.

I also love the neckline. This is one dress i would get a belt to accentuate your figure and be done with it, you look fabulous!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I will definitely talk with a seamstress before ordering which I plan on doing friday. The dress on the left is one I found on a wholesale site and I can't find the original designer, I will continue to look though
