Mob/mog dresses

I had an original vision for at least my mom to wear a dark green color MOB dress, even though I’m not sure it would go with my color scheme of blush pink (bridesmaid dress color), light orange, gold, and white. She I think ultimately wants to wear a black dress (which would look good on her too), but what color should my FMIL wear? Would it be weird if they both wore black? Also, navy blue is not an option. And I don’t want them to clash with the bridesmaids. Any suggestions?

Your FMIL should wear whatever colour she feels comfortable wearing.
They aren't part of the bridal party so what colour they wear doesn't really matter (other than white if you are going traditional with what you were) so long as it is appropriate and they're happy.

They're not standing with the bridal party so I wouldn't worry about it. Now if they asked you what color they should wear because they want to wear something that fits well, give them a few options and they can decide on their own. If they both end up wearing black or the same color it will be fine. Honestly, alot of colors would go well with your color scheme. Sounds really pretty.

The parents get to choose their own outfits. Yes, sometimes they want to coordinate and will ask you to suggest colors, but not all parents do this. You'll just have to live with whatever they pick.

Yeah, that’s what my FMIL was asking me, and Om actually going out shopping with her some time to help her pick out a dress.

They should wear whatever color they want.
