Mixing metals?

Mrs. DeNigris, on March 6, 2017 at 9:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

Hi everyone! :-)

FH and I started shopping for our bands today, and I'm so in love with the idea of having a rose gold ring. All of the jewelry that I wear on a daily basis is rose gold, so I kind of want my ring to match. The thing is that my E-ring is white gold. Do you think it would look silly to have a white gold E-ring with a rose gold band? How do you all feel about mixing metals? I'm totally on the fence about it and would love outside thoughts!

I personally mix metals. My engagement ring and wedding band are white gold. On my right hand I wear my mothers wedding band (she passed away last summer) and it's gold. I also wear a lot of her jewelry which is mostly gold. I think whatever you want to wear is good, you can do whatever makes you happy

I think white gold and rose gold can look very pretty together. Are you able to try any on to see if you like the look before purchasing?

    Jayquellin-

Not yet! I definitely will soon--we're just doing "initial research" (lol) right now and I'm toying with the idea.

I have a white gold e-ring and rose gold band! I love them together. Sorry it's not the greatest picture but it's the only one I have on my phone Smiley smile

    Ashley-

Ooo I love it! Thanks for sharing a picture! I'm definitely gonna try it on to see what I think. I never used to be a fan of mixing metals, but the idea is really growing on me.

I think it just depends on the rings! My ering is rose gold and I'm leaning towards a white gold or platinum band. I've attached an inspo pic I found on google. I love the look of mixing white gold and rose gold! I say go for it. :-)

My e ring is white gold but it has these tiny little rose gold infinities on it, so I'm getting a rose gold band that I think will really make a statement (also, we ordered our rings this weekend and we are TOO pumped Smiley smile)))) sure, my band is mostly white but it looks so lovely with the rose. Go for it!!

My engagement ring is gold it's a really old family ring and a wedding band will never fit with it because of the shape so I'm getting a white gold wedding band and I'll just switch them depending on what I'm wearing.

I'm mixing metals. My ering is rose gold and my enhancer will be white and rose gold mixed. I think as long as they don't clash, do whatever you love

I feel like rose gold and white gold go really well together. I almost did it but settled on all white gold. Not sure if any other metals mix that well though.

LOVE the mixed metals look, especially when rose gold is in the mix. My e-ring has a platinum band and the prongs holding my center stone are rose gold. Although a long while out from purchasing my band, the current plan is to do a rose gold and instead of platinum. Obviously I'm team Go For It!

I have a white gold e-ring and just picked out a rose gold band to go with it last weekend. I love the contrast! I didn't take a picture but the jeweler said it's becoming more and more common.

Well I'm excited to come back & see that this is a thing! I'd been kinda thinking about it too but figured it would look weird; sometimes I go overboard with mixing things up, haha. I may have to try on some rose gold bands too!
