Mixed Gender Wedding Party

Hey guys -

We have a while to plan this, but in discussing, my FH and I haven't agreed yet on how we should have our unique wedding party dress.

My side - 1 girl in a dress; 2 girls and 1 guy in suits

His side - 3 guys in suits; 1 girl in a dress

He thinks everybody wearing a suit should be in the same suit and everybody wearing a dress should be in the same dress.

I think either his side should wear all one color and my side should all wear one color OR do a mix and match for the suit wearers (with a color guide) and pick 2 colors for the 2 dress wearers (thinking DB's ballet and quartz)

I hope I explained this well. Anyways - Have any of you planned for a mixed gender wedding party? Any ideas are welcome! I'll attach a couple of photos I found on Pinterest.

    I almost had a mixed wedding party but decided against it - it was going to be just one guy on my side with my girls and FH had all guys. ANYWAY, when I was looking at potentially doing it, I was looking at him wearing the same suit as the GM but with colors matching my girls (GM in classic black and white)

    I'll have a guy on my side, his suit will be the same color as my girls dresses...

    We are planning on doing one color per side. His groomsmen will be in navy suits and my ladies will be in gray dresses. My man of honor will be in the same suit as the groomsmen but in a similar gray to the ladies' dresses.

    Thanks for the ideas everybody! I'm now thinking maybe everybody wear the same suit, groomswoman in a dress the color of the suits, and then the suit wearers on my side can have on either shirts or ties that match my bridesmaid's dress.
