Mismatched China - on the hunt!

I really love how mismatched plates look! It's great that you have started early so you have plenty of time to collect enough and browse for pretty ones!

How many have you gotten so far? And how many more do you need? 😊

So far I have 35 dinner plates and 62 cake plates. I am aiming for about 100 dinner plates and 100 cake plates. I am thinking of using all the saucers I end up with for the appetizers at the cocktail hour. But I might just end up doubling my cake plates. They have been much easier to find than the dinner plates.

I also have 120 drinking glasses, 30 wine glasses, and all my flatware as well.

I am really enjoying hunting for the plates. I never know what I will find when I go thrifting!

Super cute idea. My cousin is doing something similar with cups for her wedding. Granted she has over a year to shop but she frequents goodwill, yard sales, flea markets for hers.

So how did this end up? Thinking about doing this for my wedding but concerned about the logistics. Did you have a plated, buffet or family style? If buffet did you account for more plates for people to go up for seconds or how was that handeled? Did you have a dish station for people to return dirty dishes? Were there staff that managed the return from you catering company, how did the cleaning go etc.

All the details pretty please!!
