Minted special requests

Christina, on March 6, 2019 at 12:51 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 11
I’m looking at the all in one invitation from minted but was wanting to remove the dinner options and add a line that says “we have reserved ___ seats in your honor”. You have to pay before you get the proof and I can’t find anywhere that says how much changes will be other than there will be a charge. Has anyone used minted and done a special request? How was your experience? Or should I just go back to vista print?

We did a special request for our Rehersal Dinner invites. The fee was nominal but I felt like it was painful to communicate my changes and it took about two weeks longer for the custom insert.

I got the all in one invites from Minted. I was able to edit and change the text to what I wanted on my own when I put in our names and stuff and it didn't cost me anything extra. I added a special line and everything

I don't have experience with Minted, but if you can't figure it out, check out Ann's Bridal Bargains. All of their invites (either all in one or invitation suite) are .99 cents, and are totally customizable. You can preview everything before ordering. I ordered my invitations from there, and LOVE THEM!

You should be able to delete the meal options text on your own. Then maybe you can repurpose one of those text boxes to include you “We have reserved...” line.

I’m not sure about the fee because I bought their traditional invitations so changes are free and proofs are unlimited. However, unlike a PP, I made multiple changes to everything (font, space, layout, wording, etc) and I thought Minted was very easy to work with. They always incorporated all of my changes on the first request and it was usually less than 24 hours for a new proof.

I used special instructions quite extensively for my save the dates, invites, and even shower invites and it was super easy to use. I never had any issue with them understanding my requests and it was a relatively quick process.

I had to use the special requests to add more to my RSVPs. They didn’t charge me, and I added 2 extra lines. Before I bought the invitations I emailed them and asked if it was possible that they could realistically add what I needed. They got back to me quickly and said it wouldn’t be a problem. I got the proofs back the day after I purchased the invitation suite and was very happy with it!

I thought it would let me do that but it’s not. I wonder if it’s because of the different type of invites? I don’t want to pay for the cards and then have to pay way more for a few changes

Are the prices reasonable? I’m terrified to order them and then have to pay a ton more

That’s great to hear! I found a number and I’m going to call and see. I’m really just wanting to get rid of lines more than anything

I think I had to pay $25 to make two simple changes.

I used minted as well for our traditional (i.e. not all in one) invitation, RSVP, and details cards.

Before ordering I used the chat to speak with someone and they told me I wouldn't be charged extra. I saved the convo just in case. Then I changed the RSVP card by deleting text and typed in what I wanted. I also added a note. When it goes to proof a designer will fix it, send you a proof, and/or contact you if needed. They make sure the spacing is correct and that it will fit properly. I was not charged anything extra.

In fact, I need 108 invitations, and ordered 120 to be safe. They sent 115 and refunded me 15%.
