Minted pre-addressed envelopes

BlushWedding, on September 18, 2017 at 2:05 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

Hi WW!

Wondering if any of you have utilized Minted for save the dates, and if so what did you use to keep track and format your addresses? I like that they do the pre-addressed envelopes, and I know it lets you upload a list, and I have a list started on WW, but should I transfer it to word or excel? Just want to see what others did to format it correctly so I'm not having to fix it later!

I honestly like BasicInvite.com. Less expensive and awesome address saver!

I think Minted has an excel sheet template you can download. I used that and entered my addresses directly into the template. I had no problems uploading it for my save the dates and printed envelopes.

Thank you all so much! I started looking at save the date options earlier today but must have overlooked their template. I will look for it later!

The Minted template works great for uploading your addresses. The only negative for me with Minted, is envelopes will print with the Minted logo when you choose certain font designs. I had no logo for my Save the Date envelopes and was unhappily surprised to see it on my Invitation envelopes. The notice on the website that the logo will print is not entirely clear. The logo will just "appear" when you select a design that is a "designer font"....and it looks as if it is a watermark, which it is not.

For tracking what I've sent and for RSVP replies I downloaded an Excel template from Microsoft for RSVP Tracking. I have changed that downloaded template to also include a place to track cards and gifts I've received and thank you's I've sent. The template is called "Wedding Invite Tracker". Open Excel...and type "RSVP" in the "search for online templates" field. Just select the template and download it...

    @MFB - *raises hand*

I totally re-typed all of our addresses into Minted because I wanted to proofread ALL of them and see what they would all look like on the envelope.

Don't do what I did. Use the template.

Thanks all so much! I haven't collected addresses yet, just have made a "rough draft" guest list, and I certainly don't want to have to type them out twice if I don't have to!

I used Minted for my thank you cards. Download their template first.

I used them, I downloaded their template into Excel and just uploaded it when it was done, it worked out really nicely and also kept my addresses organized. My design did have the minted logo printed on the back of the envelope but it didn't bother me. They were really pretty and inexpensive.

Yeah I had to go back and type all my addresses into their excel file because the one I had wasn't formatted the same... don't do that, it's the worst haha. Download the template now and do your guest list on that.

I used this service and LOVED it! They have an excel format to use. Download the excel spreadsheet they have formatted from the site and start putting your info in there. You can find this by clicking to "add multiple" addresses then clicking on the CSV file. This will provide an excel sheet that is formatted to match their system so you can directly upload the whole spreadsheet.

I used them for my save the dates, invites and thank you's--the address assistant is a lifesaver! I have since updated that same spreadsheet with additional or changed addresses for Christmas cards.

I will say with minted, order way early to account for any issues. Their customer service is great but I did have to have my invite suite reprinted three different times because of coloring issues. (None of the pieces matched each other)..but I did end up getting them about half off. Because of how their customer service responded, I'll continue to use them in the future.

If you have any international addresses - type them in by hand!

Minted defaults to a comma after town which is not used in the country where many of our guests live. But there's a way you can get it to do what you want (put the zipcode before the town, not require a state, etc.) I can't remember exactly how we did it know...but it is possible!
