Minted invites reprinted due to Covid?

Holly, on April 6, 2020 at 11:15 AM Posted in Planning 1 14
Hey all,

I am wondering if anyone who got their invitations through Minted has been in touch with them recently regarding getting new invitations printed for free?
My wedding is/was originally scheduled for June 13, 2020, but now we are looking at most likely having to postpone until 9/18/20. I already have the invites in my possession (luckily I hadn’t postmarked or sent them out yet..) and I know Minted is offering date change cards to stick in the original invites but I’m not comfortable doing that. For a September date, I think I’d have enough time to get new ones made. But I don’t think it’s fair for me to pay for all new ones.
Anyone in a similar situation and talk to Minted yet? Am planning on reaching out soon but wanted to check first. Thanks and stay strong everybody!

The only thing I was offered from any invitation company was 15 to 20 percent off new invitations 😂 I just ended up going with basic invites, they were the cheapest and good quality

I dont get how you think its not fair to have to bbn pay for an entire new product. Why would they give you new invitations for free when they are already giving you a free date change option?

I think the best you'll get is a discount. I would never dream of asking for invites for free.

That was a bit rude. You're already married imagine your wedding getting canceled or postponed. This whole situation isnt "fair". I dont think it was too unreasonable for her to hope to not have to spend more money because everything is getting moved. No one budgeted for a pandemic, I'm sure.

If they offer a discount, I definitely wouldn’t turn it down! They don’t have any kind of general statement about it on their website so maybe it’s case-by-case. Thanks for your input!

I think you have to call customer service in order to get any discount or change. I already sent all my invitations out so I am going to just purchase a postponed card using a discount code I have from my last shipment from them

Never said the date change cards were free, in fact they’re not. I already paid full price for the initial invitations, I just think it would suck to have to pay again for all new ones, or pay for date change cards on top of that. Minted isn’t exactly a small business, so I’m just hoping they will try to be accommodating.

I hadn't even considered asking for a discount/free invites. I've got a worthless box of invites & reply cards for our original 5/24 date. We are rescheduled for 7/25 and I'm way too afraid to even think about getting new invites yet. Probably another 6 weeks and then we'll assess the landscape at that point. Best of Luck!

Yes! Use the chat feature and tell them what happened. They are giving a 75% discount to reprint. My wedding was moved from June 14th to September. Minted was great about it and very helpful!

They offered me 25% off a reprint, which is totally fair since they didn't have to offer anything.

Why wouldn't it be fair for you to have to pay to reprint your invitations? Who would it be fair to pay for it?

My invites were sent out and RSVPs returned back but we unfortunately had to post pone. I’m going to use an Email invite next time around to save on the cost and I’m sure our guest will understand.
