Hi everyone! With everything going on in the world, FH and I have decided to do a minimoon for a few days after the big day. We get married in early November so weather is a factor in what we can do for activities, but we haven't been able to think of where to go! We live in western new york and want to stay within the state, but don't want to do Niagara Falls or NYC. We were thinking the Adirondacks or Finger Lakes areas... does anyone have recommendations for resorts and what we could do?! Thanks in advance!

Adirondacks for sure! I love the Old Forge area and even 1000 Islands area. I keep getting advertisements for these rentals near my old hometown https://kuyahooraresort.com/
It makes me want to go to NYS and quarantine for 14 days locked up in one of these lodges.

My grandparents spent years and years going to Honeoye, NY, which is a lake town and is absolutely beautiful. I always loved their pictures from those trips, as they looked so quiet and romantic.

Depending what your budget is, I highly recommend Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. It’s an all included resort with really wonderful food, a lake and great hikes. Very romantic!

My mom actually lives pretty close to Honeoye so I'm very familiar with that town! I'll have to see what kind of places to stay are there

They have reallly amazing food haha, I’ve been twice with my fiancé and his family and its really fun. Also New Paltz is a cute little town you could visit for a day.
