Minimony dress at noon on a Thursday with only our sons present. Please vote!

Laura, on June 7, 2020 at 5:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

If you don't like any of them - tell me what you think I should look for... our three sons ages in the early to late teens will be the only others present (parents live out of state)... wedding at 12:30 formal venue, guys in tuxes (all of them! - I love this so much!)....

Now, what should mom wear?? I'm 45, pale, redhead, hourglass. *Cleavage gets a capital DD, so a little v goes a long way! Smiley winking I also have the backside to match. Ha! Here are my choices so far...

1. I love that this is blush! The girls should be reigned in, it's romantic. I feel like it would be beautiful at my venue - but the younger boys really want the bridal look - down to a blusher. lol! But, I love this - I can't seem to find it in white or ivory - nor do I know if I can get it in time. What veil do you put with a pink dress? I have blush shoes, I have floral shoes like the ones above. I have ivory.

2. This looks really pretty in the real brides wearing it. I almost missed this one until I found the photo reviews. It seems to be a go-to for eloping. The neckline is less of a sweetheart and I think I'd like it to be more sweetheart shaped, but this could work for coverage of the girls too. Veil - I have no idea? Maybe satin edge elbow to finger tip. I have ivory shoes that would go with this and be very elegant. It also comes in white - and I have white shoes and look best in white.

3. This one with removable straps caught my eye. It has the contrasting skirt for interest, removable straps, sweetheart neck, train (for the kids), and feels simple yet elegant. Again my ivory shoes would definitely work. The flap could be beautiful or annoying - lol! I'm hoping for beautiful - it's new so no reviews or photos on others. Veil - I have no idea.

Please help an overwhelmed and too many rescheduled dates bride...

I have pearl and rhinestone cluster (think round) earrings in rose gold. And morganite and rose gold over-sized chunky earrings.

I think it depends if you want more of the bridal look. I think the blush and white one are really pretty. The white one does look more bridal, but the blush one is very pretty too. My photographer just did an elopement and the bride wore a pink dress. It was so pretty. I absolutely loved it.

In your details, it’s seems like you like the blush one the most. I’d say go for it! You’ll be the flower in your garden venue

I also like the 3rd one. It looks more like a wedding dress to me than the other 2 dresses 😉

Are you set on strapless? Bridal takes 6-9 months to arrive, bridesmaid 3-6 typically. You have lots of options with a curvy figure! I love the warmer tones you're going for!

Lol gotcha. I think these would be flattering in ivory or dew drop (faint pink):

    style no. 21656

    style no. 21646 (with pockets!)

If you have enough time to order something bridal, fit and flare/mermaid styles are stunning on curves. Satin is great for cold season weddings, but I'd avoid it if you're gonna be a summer bride:

Definitely number 3!! I think it looks perfect for the venue, especially with the flowy fabric swags on the ceiling and your bouquet.... it’s perfect! The other 2 dresses are a wee bit boring and I’m also not a fan of high/low dresses in general 😬

I agree. #1 and #2 are my favorite but regardless of the type of ceremony do you want something more simple or more bridal. Check out Azazie as they have a new feature called elopements and check the dresses there.

The kids want bridal... I'd like more simple by this mini is for them. So their feelings matter. Maybe simply bridal. Lol

From Azazie...what do you think of these as a happy medium between bridal and simple plus factoring in your body type:
