We're having our ceremony and brunch reception in a private room at a restaurant. There is literally no where for me to wait before the ceremony, except either in the stairwell leading up to the room or outside (in March, in Chicago. No thanks!) We're doing first look pictures 9-9:45 and will likely get to the venue around 10:15.
Would it be better to have a 10:30 ceremony time or just mingle with guests before an 11am ceremony?
Also indicating that the ceremony is starting while we're already in the room is a problem as well. We could just have the officiant ask everyone to take their seats? Has anyone else had to do something like this?
