Milk & Cookie Bar

We are doing a cookie table and were told between 3-6 cookies per person. That would be between 42 dozen and 90 dozen. Not sure if that calculation is for replacing cake as a dessert or as an add on though. Just the number people roughly have said when planning cookie tables around here! We will be planning for a dozen a person due to many people grabbing them and taking them home.

Cool idea. How big are the cookies? Assuming they are average size I'd count at least two per person so you would need 30 dozen.

ETA: If you plan for guests to take some home with them then you will definitely need more. Like a pp mentioned I'd do a minimum of 4-6 cookies pp at that point.

Our caterer told us 1.5-2 per person. It sounds crazy, but she said most people will take one, some may take a couple, etc. They are doing a complete snack bar for us, so since we are having other things, we did not need as much.

We have cupcakes as our main dessert. Our favor is a "to go" bag full of assorted cookies - we have about 4 cookies per guest (including kids, etc)!

If cookies are your only dessert (which I honestly don't think is a good idea), you need to plan for at least 4-5 cookies per guest.

I'm originally from Pgh but now living in Nevada. We are doing a cookie table. I am planning on 6 cookies per person. Yes, you are correct. Pittsburghers love their cookie tables!

We only did a cookie table for dessert and had 5 cookies per guest.. we did have leftovers, but it's better to have too many vs. not enough!
