FH and i are both under 21. So, instead of having booze we decided to go with milk with cookie shot glasses. Before people jump on me about having a dry wedding, most of our guests are under the legal age as well and there are a few recovering alcoholics in the guest list as well. How would be the best way to set this up? What kinds of cookies should we use? General opinions on seeing this at wedding given the circumstances?

Trying to be as nice as possible here but it was your choice to get married so young that you can't legally drink , don't leave your guests deprived because of your decision . Offer at least wine and beer

What about the people who are allergic to milk? Not going to lie but this seems a little bit childish. I give my children milk and cookies..

I think in this situation no alcohol is fine. If you wanted to you could do pre-mixed mocktails to have some of the fun without the alcohol!

I agree with PPs about the cookie shot glasses- I'd go the real shot glass with a cookie on top route.

ETA: Personally, I would still add beer and wine for your guests that are of age, but from comments it seems pretty clear that that's not something you're interested in.

    My two cents:

    1. While I do not agree with a dry wedding, it is OP's decision. I don't understand why beat a dead horse, commenters? It's her wedding, she can do whatever wants and all that should be said is "people will probably talk badly about your reception, and leave early." DONE! If she still wants to have a dry wedding and risk these happening... So be it. Why keep pushing it? Especially, since her post wasn't asking for advice on the dry wedding- but on the cookie/milk set up!

    2. Mary, here's some more off post advice. I would learn how to say thing, and what to and what not to say on these posts. Your last couple of posts have stirred up some unnecessary drama. There really was no reason to include on this post the fact that you are having a dry wedding (except to ruffle some feathers.) The question of the milk and cookies could have been asked without that addition and you would have gotten the answers you wanted instead of so much crap about the dry wedding.

    3. Love the idea of a cookie & milk shots! However, I don't have any advice on set up because I've never experienced a set up as such. Pinterest is really a great place to start.
