Military Fiancé’s

We just had to pick a date and hope for the best. My husband almost got deployed and luckily didn’t. But if he was, we would have gotten married a few months sooner and risked losing some deposits. To me that was better than waiting another year.

My husband is a recruiter for the Marines currently and we had quite the drama due to Covid. Our original wedding was planned during his PCS move in April. Of course, Covid caused lockdowns and we weren't able to leave a 50 mile radius thus resulting in no wedding. Then they changed his orders four times in the last few months. We went from March to June, to September and finally July 2nd. So to have an actual wedding celebration didn't seem feasible because we had no idea when he could physically be present. This is why we opted to just marry at my family home. In 11 days, we have photogrpahy set up where he will see me in my real wedding dress that was intended for the wedding. It has been a nightmare leading up to this point. Even my hair and makeup got canceled due to rioting. Needless to say. I am pretty much exhausted with this whole thing and the DOD restrictions made it that much harder. This is definitely not an easy time to be planning with so many unknowns. Unfortunately you aren't working around just a school, but a virus. This will dictate when it starts, when it ends, if travel bans get lifted, if they allow pcs moves, etc. As we know with military, they also can change their minds a million times. Unless you want to just elope, I would hold off any further planning.
