Messy or Sock Bun?

I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to do for my hair trial next week. I know I want a high bun because I'll have a sparkly hairpiece wrapped around it (like #3 but smaller and just crystals), but I don't know if I want to go for a messy or sock-like, cleanswept bun, or kinda in between like picture #2! Thoughts?

So I have very long but fine hair, that's what makes me nervous! Dry shampoo seems to give me plenty of volume so if I don't wash my hair the morning of the trial I should be okay. I hope 😬

I like #1! My hairstylist didn't want me washing my hair the day of because it is usually better to work with slightly dirty hair. So washing your hair the day before is fine. Plus, your hairstylist will probably have product to help give your hair volume. I also have fine hair so my hairstylist used product and curled and teased my hair a lot to give it the volume needed.

That's what I've always done for updos too so I'm hoping it'll work out, but I've also never attempted such a high updo!!
