My dress is mermaid style and I completely hate the slip DB sold me to go with it. (Lesson learned.. you can actually say "no" to the recommended slip and bra DB recommends.. my consultants never asked and I didn't know). The slip is tight and long and severely increases my anxiety when I have it on alone let alone with my dress on (I actually took it off when the consultant wasn't looking when I knew I found MY dress). I never saw myself getting a mermaid style dress, so the whole undergarment decisions have been difficult... can I just wear nude shapewear (i.e. spandx) and skip the slip? As of right now, I am not looking for fullness at the bottom of the dress as I tried a mermaid slip on with it and didn't care for the extra poof!
