Menu - Chicken or Steak? Or Both?

Chip, on October 11, 2016 at 5:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 23

So my mom got all excited when we booked our COM venue because of all of their menu options. They obviously have all of the basics, but she was really excited that we can offer a combination plate for a meat selection, instead of one OR the other.

Would you prefer to pick your meat selection or be offered both together? (for a plated meal)

I would rather have a little bit of both than just one.

I would prefer to be offered the combination plate. In my opinion I hate the idea of answering what I want to eat on an RSVP. Who knows what I would actually want to eat that day. I think it just allows for a nice selection and it also saves you stress and worry of following meal choices.

I'm going to disagree. I 100% prefer steak to everything else, and would rather not take up plate or stomach space with chicken if more steak was a possibility instead.

IMO guest won't complain if it's not there. They will be pleased with what you offer. Sometimes giving more options is a headache.

I love the duet plate; it's getting more and more popular here. It also REALLY speeds up dinner service.

I would prefer just be steak, that being said at my sisters wedding they had a duet plate of filet and lobster tail that went over smashingly well.

I have a duel plated menu and I'm doing salmon and short rib. There will also be a vegetarian option, I just haven't picked it yet and I have plenty of time.

I never came across a duel meat meal

At a wedding, but I would be ok with having both, since I like both lol.

I prefer to pick just one specially if you have someone that doesn't eat red meet. I wouldn't want my chicken mixed with red meat. (I eat anything so this is me thinking about others than myself)

I love the idea of the combo plate! I don't personally eat much red meat but I happen to have a FH who loves eating my food when he finishes his, so that's never a problem! HAHA

Thanks all! I thought it was odd at first but I'm seeing it's a good option! There would of course be a vegetarian option too

I would prefer a choice, although if I'm being real my choice is ALWAYS beef.

I would prefer a choice just because I try to avoid red meat. I do see how it would be a good option though if you know your crowd!
