Menu board

caitiemac, on February 22, 2017 at 11:02 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

Hey!

I've been crazy absent from the boards but I'm 30 days out and my coordinator suggested a menu board since we're doing a cocktail style reception.

Has anyone had one? Any pictures? Looking for inspiration (:

I'm planning on doing a menu board in lieu of an actual menu at each seat. I've been looking on Etsy and will most likely buy mine from there.

    Some examples:

By "cocktail style" do you mean stations? Or a few displays with passed hors d'oeuvres?

    I don't think it's necessary really....

Colleen - stations so she said it may just be a good idea so everyone knows all their options

Celia - I didn't originally think so it was Heather from RILC and she's one of my favorite vendors so I've been trusting her lol

I think the size of the signs may depend on the set up and number of guests. Like if it's 40 guests with four stations, they could easily see something 11"x14" but 200 guests with four stations would need a much larger sign on an easel display or something similar. As a guest, I would appreciate knowing my options.

If you can get away with smaller signs, you can DIY using some fancy fonts in MS Word or similar, which is what I did. A lot of etsy shops have templates for just a few dollars that you can adjust yourself and print either at home or, if larger, at Staples or a print shop.

I personally would do it if I was serving dinner your style. I think it's cute too.
