Hi everyone! Curious to hear others' experience with tux/suit rentals from Men's Wearhouse. I am starting to get nervous that we made a mistake going with them. We ordered a custom tux for FH which just came in and was incorrect (we ordered navy-on-navy tux and got black-on-navy) -- amplifying my concerns. I read a bunch of online reviews about how MW messed up groomsmen rentals' sizes just a few days before the wedding, and I am getting super paranoid! Has anyone has a good experience with them that can alleviate my concerns? Smiley smile

    Hi Brianna! I am so sorry to hear that this happened to your FH's tuxedo! I hope they corrected their mistake and made him the proper tux! As for your other groomsmen's rentals, from my knowledge, Men's Warehouse guarantees that your tux rentals will be available 3 days to one week before your event. Be sure to have your groomsmen go in and try them on as soon as they are available to them. This way, if anything is wrong, they can exchange the sizes/styles overnight! I really hope this helps!     My FBIL used them and overall head a good experience! The only issue was one of the groomsman shirts came in the wrong size. But as PP mentioned, he went in right away to make sure it was good. When it wasn't there was plenty of time to fix the situation. They had the correct shirt to him next day.

    My FH was in a wedding in April and they used Men’s Warehouse. Every groomsman and the groom had issues with their rental tux. One of them got a white suit, one got a suit that looked like it was sized for a high school prom goer, and the other 2 were too small. Alternatively, FH was in a wedding last September and the guys bought custom suits and there were no issues. It might honestly be a coin toss.

    It depends on the store, although rentals seem to have a bigger problem than purchases.

    H has used them for rentals for several weddings he’s been and has never had an issue. He also buys all his suits there and has always had great service.

    I am sorry to hear that. My fiancé bought his suit from them and the overall experience was great and his order arrived the following week.

    Ok.....I have a few things to say about them. First, I had my FH and his best man go in to get tuxs. The best man had to have a shirt custom ordered. That was over 4 months ago. It just arrived this past Monday. In the wrong size. The wedding is October 19th. And they are having to do alterations to it. That will probably take almost a month. Cutting it close. Then we ordered a custom tux for my FH. Took no time to come in( a few weeks) but the pants have to be hemmed and it has taken a month. Now through all of this I made a couple of calls to check on things (suits, alterations, orders) to find out things had been done for several days/weeks. And when I asked to speak to a manager, was informed that they do not make calls to their clients. It's your own responsibility to check in
    Like I have all that time while planning a wedding. Needless to say. Once we recieve our suits. I will going to corprate to complain.

    Double-check the date of the wedding in their system - for all suits/tuxes. When my niece got married, one of the groomsmen went to pick up his tux four days before the wedding at an out-of-town location, they said "Uh...sir...you are a year early". They had the year wrong for the wedding...on ALL the tuxes. Fortunately they learned this four days ahead and not 24-48 hours ahead.


    I will say that they moved heaven and earth, and shipped all the tuxedos to the location where the wedding was. All the groomsmen had to go to Mens Warehouse the day before the wedding near the venue to pick up the tuxes, but it was a stressor the bride did NOT need.

    Oh boy, now I'm nervous. We went to one in El Paso, TX and the reps were super awesome, they helpd us pick out great colors and the entire ensemble. HOWEVER we are picking his up in VA so they have to ship it to another store in another state. I am worried they will have his measurements or something else wrong, even though everything is saved in our online account. The guys are also using them, so I hope they get everyone's right! Our wedding is 10/13 and they said to pick up on 10/11, so that really doesn't give us much time if something goes wrong! Smiley sad
