Men's Wearhouse?

Kelsey, on March 30, 2020 at 10:23 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

Question for you all. My FH and I picked out tuxes in early March before the craziness started. Our guys have to be measured by June 12th for our September wedding (which is still going on as planned). Do you think that Men's Wearhouse would give us an extension since they are closed for all of April and until May 3rd? All of the guys minus 2 are considered essential workers and have been working crazy hours due to demand with no end in sight as to when these hours will go back to normal.

We also went in early March. The manager of our local Men’s Wearhouse followed up by phone and she said the deadline to be fitted for adults is one month prior to the wedding. Obviously, all pieces are first come, first served, so not everything in every size may be available if you do wait until 1 month before to be fitted.

Right which is not what I want. I'm guessing because we picked gray tuxes for the guys they should go in by the deadline. Be nice if they could extend the deadline since this wasn't in our control.

The groomsmen got fitted for their tuxes one month prior to the wedding. H literally went 12 days before the wedding. My dad requested a bowtie 4 days before the wedding. MW is actually very easy to work with!

    Hi Kelsey,

Gray tuxes sound fab! Smiley love

Luckily, we have found that many vendors are willing to work with our couples during this unprecedented time. Based on Angela's and Merline's experiences above, it sounds like Men's Warehouse may be willing to offer some flexibility. My best advice would be to call them directly and find out your options. If MW isn't able to extend the deadline, I wonder if someone else (a seamstress or tailor) could take the necessary measurements for the groomsmen who are essential workers. There's also a chance that the current situation could stabilize by June. It would be nice to have a contingency plan in place, of course.

I hope this helps! Smiley heart
