Men's Suits - Recommendations?

My FH is doing a dark gray suit and groomsmen are doing light gray. We went to Jos A Bank and they were great.

I'm going to a local prom shop-well that's what I'm calling them but it's a place where I got the suit for my son's prom. They also rent. Have you thought about looking around. I dont know what the prices are, I'm actually going tomorrow to price the suits. I hadnt thought about doing the 2 different gray's because gray is my color as well but I think I will use your idea. What state are you in? Im in Central NJ. I'm going to AG Tailor in Somerset,NJ https://albertgerald.com/, they unfortunately do not have the price for rentals online-something I'm going to mention to them,lol. I've bought 4 suits from them for prom season for both my boys and they were reasonable prices and the fit was on point.

We have an appointment at Friar Tux in about 7 hours. Happy to give you an update on our experience there. They have online and stores nationwide I believe.

We are looking at Menguin too and Generation Tux too! I've heard really good things. My FH wants a particular blue suit and it's a tough color to find (couldn't find it at JOS A, Men's warehouse, black tux, etc.). However, my friend just got married last year and they got their suits from ASOS. I took a look and they are pretty cheap but you do have to buy them. They all got grey suits from there and the groom wore navy.

Jos A Bank was pretty decent for sizing and variety. Men’s Warehouse was similar. This of course depends on the employees as well though. We ended up ordering an S. Cohen from a small business owner over here. He was AWESOME. If you are ever in upstate NY, I would recommend him. Very knowledgeable. The suit brand was very light (we need it to be because of the summer) yet still looked stylish and is extremely wrinkle resistant. It hails from Canada so if you want to order straight from them, it may have some shipping fee if you are elsewhere. We are in love with this suit though. Def cost way more, but FH was smitten and the guy isn’t charging too much for alterations at all.

My FH rented a suit and tux from Black Tux for a wedding I was in last year and he loved the experience. I’m not sure where you’re located but they have some physical store locations, most inside of Nordstrom locations, which might be helpful with getting the fit right.

Yes I love that the different greys allow the groom to stand out! My wedding is in Dallas, TX but my FH, groomsmen, and myself are scattered all throughout the south/southeast making everything difficult lol

What about Men's Warehouse, they are a chain and should be able to accomodate and I'm thinking they are similiar to David's Bridal?

We weren't impressed with the employees we talked to or their suit selection (rude, not the right colors, very few suits available to rent, etc) :/
