Memory Dance?

LovelyBride09, on August 31, 2008 at 8:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Is anyone doing a memory dance for a lost family member????

My mother and father passed away already and I wanted to have a dance in memory of them...Does anyone know of any good songs to dance to for a memory dance? I want something that would be for both my parents (which they were divorced when they passed) I am open to any and all suggestions! Also if anyone has suggestions of other things that can be done on top of the "special" dance that would be wonderful!!

I have given the memorial dance some thought as well. My fiances father passed away when he was only 13 and I wanted to remember him at the reception with a dance. "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz 2 men is what I was thinking of. I googled memorial songs and this is a list I found http://www.nextgenmemorials.com/memorialsongs.html

I am sure you could find more. You can also do a memorial candle (they can even be personalized with your parents names). I have also seen a memorial frame on excusivelyweddings.com that you could display at the wedding and reception. Hope that helps!

When I get to where I am going with Dolly Parton is a great memorial song.

Two candles is an awsome idea!

Holes In The Floor Of Heaven - Steve Wariner

When I Get Where I'm Going - Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss

A Dozen Red Roses - (can't remember the artist, but it's an older song)
