Memorial Table

Amanda, on August 2, 2019 at 2:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
Ok so this is a picture of where we are displaying our memorial table. I'm really struggling with how to display the pictures though because as you can see there are no shelves. I thought of hanging the pictures on twine or something but am not sure how I would actually attach that as I can't do anything permanent.... I'm open to any ideas.

You don't want to put the photos in frames and just put em on the table ?

This may be a stretch so bare with me Smiley xd I cant tell how thick the board is so I can't say if this would work or not but what about super strong magnets?? like hot glue the end of the twine (or maybe like lace ribbon for more of a sweet rustic look - it would also be lighter) but glue it to a magnet and then place the other magnet on the other side of the wood? Idk just a thought lol otherwise thumb tacks only leave small holes haha

Unfortunately we have enough pictures that if I just set them up in frames they get kinda crowed and some are hidden. The shelf is not super deep

What about clear command strips? They are easily removable and stay up nicely. You could get the string lights like Emly posted above and hang them using the hooks.

Haha. I hear you! This has happened to me so many times. You have so much to think about that you completely miss something that should be simple. This is why we reach out and hope someone else has a working brain! Lol

You could use a large frame and string the twine inside of it. You would have to add legs to the frame to make it stand, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

I really like this idea- hang the photos up with clear command hooks and add fairy lights. A mixture of frames made into a gallery wall style would look nice too.

If you have anyone that knows programming/computer stuff, you could do a raspberry pi frame. We got a simple frame on amazon that came with the screen, attached a raspberry pi, and either plug in power source or battery power. That way you could have all the digital photos you want with names or however you want it.

We have very limited space at our venue, so this is the idea we're going with. Granted my future husband is a programmer/back-end developer and was working on this project beforehand anyway.
