Memorial sayings for passed loved ones

I’m wondering if anyone has come across any non-traditional sayings for a memorial table for passed loved ones? The only ones I’ve seen say something like “if heaven wasn’t so far away, we know you’d be here today”. I’m not opposed to it, but for me personally I feel like they will still be there in spirit. I just don’t know how to word it to make it sound good!

I’m actually using “if heaven wasn’t so far away, we light on a candle for you today” or something like that because my sisters and I have that tattooed. But this was the other sign I was considering.

We just had photos of our deceased loved ones on a high boy table with a single votive candle. No sign necessary.

Of course! FH and I don’t believe in “heaven” per se, so we know we don’t want the traditional memorial signs we usually see. Both of his parents have passed and he only has one living grandparent, so we definitely want to find a way to include them.

We will have a candle by the entrance with a sign that reads "This candle burns in loving memory of those who are forever present in our hearts, but could not be here to celebrate with us. We love and miss you!" You could always change it to "forever in our hearts and will be joining us in spirit today" or something like that.
