Hi! My fiance and I are getting married next month and I am looking for advice on a timeline for a Mehndi/welcome party. I am South Asian, but he is not and most of our guests will not be South Asian, so I want to of course honor my culture by doing some Mehndi traditions, while also treating it like a welcome party so our South Asian guests don't feel excluded.
I am wondering how the timeline for such an event should be, like do we have (1) a cocktail hour, then a couple entrance, dancing and then dinner or (2) couples entrance, cocktail hour, dinner, and then dancing, (3) or something entirely different?
Also what Mehndi traditions do you suggest incorporating that also allow non-South Asians to feel include?
