Meeting half way?

It's a cute idea. Do what you're feeling. My mom walked me down the aisle all the way and I met H at the altar

I'm having my uncle walk me he's been the most inspirational figure in my life but I'm not sure if the half way takes away the "specialness" (that's probably a real word lol) of it

I feel that wether you are "given away" in the middle of the aisle or at the end, you are still being "given away". I have never seen that in a wedding and would probably think of it as a little odd because no matter what you meet at the end and can transfer hands or arm lock. Only have I ever heard of a Bio-dad meet half way with the step-dad or some sort of order like that..

That's what I'm thinking it's different and I like it just never have I ever seen anything like it

Like MjD said, I have only seen/heard of the halfway thing for like a stepdad/father figure person and then hands off to bio dad for the final few feet. I don't think it would take anything away from anyone to do the halfway vs all the way thing--totally your preference.

I saw something similar once. Bride had no parents or anyone else to walk her down the aisle. She walked solo, then her fiancé met her halfway and they walked to the alter together. It was beautiful.

I think I may do this still have to see if FH is comfortable with it he's a major introvert I'm hoping he won't act like he's getting teeth pulled about all the pics being taken

I'm walking down myself and thinking of having my FH meet me half way and we'll walk down together, and then just have my dad stepmom and mother stand when they ask "who gives this person" whatever. No one is "giving me away" half way but I think I'll feel better about having my FH meet me halfway
