Many people do that. There’s nothing in etiquette about it either way. It gets the information across that they need which is the only thing that matters.

I don’t think it’s tacky. We were just at a wedding last week and this is how they indicated to the servers who got what meal.

They're cute!

I used these on my place cards in the bottom right corner. The gold sticker matched the gold calligraphy and I got nothing but compliments on them. They looked pretty elegant!

We used a stamp but I think stickers works perfectly if it goes with your aesthetic. It's such a minor detail that I think the fact that they work well is more important than how they look, as long as the look isn't distracting. I find stickers like this acceptable!
