Meal indicators

Shannon449, on September 24, 2016 at 9:25 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

So we're not assigning seats at the assigned tables, but the venue wants us to indicate meals.. anyone have good ideas on how to do that without assigning people to seats at their assigned tables?

Thanks!

We are planning on indicating their meal choice on the escort cards, either on the inside of a tent card or behind it. We might use the animal icon to indicate or just write what they ordered.

Star stickers on the back of the escort cards. The kind that teachers use. Our colors included gold and silver, so we used those for two of the entrees. The ones with no stars was for the most popular, of the 3 entrees. We had to supply a table-layout diagram, of the reception room, and with each table we put the number of each of the entrees, to be delivered there.

They should still have escort cards saying what table they're at so you can indicate them on those.

Can you still print out place cards that indicate their choice? Then they can pick those up on the way to their tables.

I just dabbed the back with a sharpie. Red for beef, blue for fish, green for vegetarian.

We were hoping to avoid that since I have basically 0 free time before the wedding/ doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of the poster we did?

As long as the house knows how many of each entree will be at each table, that should be enough detail....

Sorry, didn't see you post that before I commented. What Sheila said.

We added a flower to the escort cards. Each flower is a food choice

Sorry, we're another couple who is assigning tables and using the escort cards to indicate meal choices. I was thinking either putting some kind of symbol or sticker on each card or using cards with different colored backgrounds for each meal choice.

At my cousin's wedding last night the servers came around and asked each guest what they ordered. If the venue needs an indication for some reason do the escorts cards

I was planning to do like Arthie and put flowers on each card. (Btw, where did you find those? Very pretty!) I'm definitely not depending on my guests to remember what they ordered a month ago. I can't always remember what I ordered at a restaurant 15 minutes ago!
