Maybe Over Thinking It

Veronica, on July 4, 2020 at 8:03 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
I am just finishing up my wedding album, but I'm stuck on family photos. Originally I was going to have all of our family photos on one spread, but I can't find a layout I like and I think I have too many for just one spread. So instead I'm going to do two spreads, but I can't decide if I should have all of his family on one spread and all of mine on the other or if it would be okay to have a combination of both families on each spread. I have two photos that I plan on using that include both families so I'm not sure where they would go if I went with spreads that separate the families into his and her. I'm kind of leaning towards combined, but I could use some advice. My husband won't give his opinion because he doesn't want me to blame him if I end up not liking it.

You’re all one family now so I would lay them out how you like.

That's the problem I'm not sure. I'm with you that we are all one family which is why I'm thinking combining would be fine, but at the same time I'm still not sure. I think I've spent so much time looking at sample and creating my album I'm just not sure what I want anymore. I'm spent months trying to decide what I like/want.

Of course it's okay to have them all mixed in! If that's what you like and want, do it. If you still want them separate, put one of the combined photos on your side's spread and the other on his.

Oh, I love overthinking, I'm *very* good at it! (*sad trombone*)

I would mix them up. We did that and liked the way it looked.

Honestly I'm a perfectionist myself girly and I say combine them and don't split them up into his or hers as you are now one. Maybe keep the sections separated by like both parents, siblings, cousins, friends, uncles, aunts, etc.. in one section. So like as you open it it'll be like these are our parent's next our siblings so on.. hope it helpsSmiley smile
