We got our wedding photos back this weekend so I had to come share. The day was perfect. Except if I did it over, I'd make sure to make time to play corn hole. Smiley laugh

Tips and such:

- Highly recommend day/month of coordinator. Ours had an amazing team who perfectly executed our vision and all the pieces we had spent so much time planning for so long. Can't imagine the day without her. Apparently our appetizer caterer showed up late, and I never knew! So thankful someone else was dealing with things like that instead of me or our families.

- Go with your gut. Don't do things because that's "typical." I felt really pressured at first to do bridals, but work 80 hours a week some months and was incredibly stressed about finding time to schedule them. In the end, I canceled them and applied the money towards videography with our photographer. Haven't seen the video yet, but already SO thankful I did this. She took a few "bridal" shots the day of, and I don't miss doing an entire shoot at all. So glad I got over feeling "pressured" by what's the "norm."

- So if you can't tell from looking at our pictures, we love Star Wars.... and Legos... and being foodies. Personal touches really make the day. I was worried for a bit that maybe we weren't being "traditional" enough. Maybe people wouldn't like Asian dumplings from the restaurant where we had our first date. I got worried when I read a thread on here a few weeks before the wedding about flower crowns that I made a mistake (apparently they're "out", lol). And then I saw it all the day-of, and thought, "Duh. No. This is us. This is all so perfect." Everyone complimented us after on how "us" the wedding was, how much fun they had, and how delicious all the food/ice cream/cake was. Bottom line, you do you.

- Savor it. Soak up all the time with your significant other and those you love. It goes by so fast.

Thank you!! We really wanted to incorporate all of our nerdy little touches while still keeping it tasteful. I'm glad people seem to think we pulled it off ok.

Thanks! Smiley shame When I was looking at pictures of pixie wedding hair on Pinterest, head bands, jewelry headpieces, small veils, and flower crowns just really seemed to look cutest with the short hairstyles.

Thank you so much! The ring box fit our rose gold geometric touches so well. We did the greenery swag on the head table and the guest tables have some short and some tall centerpieces in simple glass vases. I debated doing long rectangular tables for guest tables as well, but greenery swags are $$$. Smiley xd Oh, and the geometric candle holders are from Walmart. All of my girls tried on the styles they liked beforehand. I'm glad we went with different styles since one is a bit more conservative and doesn't wear as much sleeveless. I'm glad she was able to be comfortable, but everyone else could pick out whatever they wanted as well.

Thank you! Smiley smile My fiancé loves Marvel as well (he might have preferred Marvel, but Star Wars is our "shared" interest). Stance has some great Marvel socks as well! https://www.stance.com/marvel-socks/ I wish they sold them in a box set though like they do the Star Wars ones. The box set at least makes it a little bit more affordable.

These belong in a magazine! Every detail is so perfect. How much was DIY and how much was purchased? Thank you so much for sharing all your amazing advice and your beautiful BAM!

    Thank you so much!

The biggest DIY projects were done by my mom (bless her, lol). She painted our wedding sign that's pictured, and the other side listed the schedule for the evening. She also made the Star Wars chair signs. Her and my dad made the corn hole boards as well as a giant Jenga set.

My lightsaber hilt bouquet holder was my project. There's obviously some cute ones available on Etsy, but they are super pricey. I also wanted mine to be a bit more subtle and match the rest of our wedding decor. So it's just a non-light up lightsaber with the blade sawed off that I then spray painted a metallic rose gold. My florist was great about finding ways to make the bouquet bigger even though the inside of the lightsaber had limited space for floral stems.

My now husband's DIY project (not pictured) was LEGO cufflinks he made for each of his groomsmen. Again, something that is on Etsy, but a little expensive. We found a large bulk bag of rose gold cufflink parts on either Etsy or eBay. Then he ordered sage green LEGO bricks from a LEGO sort of eBay-like website called Brick Link. Then we superglued the two together, making for some super cute cufflinks that exactly matched our wedding colors.

We also provided the growlers for the outdoor cocktail table arrangements, as well as the vast majority of most of the decor items. And then the cake toppers on the groom's cake are little LEGO wedding figures I made of us. Complete with succulent boutonnière and lightsaber bouquet.
