May 2022

I'm getting married May 14, 2022. Any other May 2022 weddings here, if so how far along are you in your planning and are you getting stressed yet?! I feel like I'm so behind. I have my venue, dj, caterer, hair, and photographer so far. But here's the kicker, I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT COLORS I WANT!! 🤯😬😩 So that means my bridesmaids or the groomsmen have no clue what they are wearing. I have someone booked for my linen but that's it because I still don't know what colors I'm gonna need from her!! I'm still looking for my videographer, & I want a photo booth. I never thought it would be this much to planning a wedding.

Congratulations date twin!! I wish I would have just went with something small but we both have very big families. ( I'm paying for it now) lol! We have our rings & officiant already, I'm literally just stuck on colors & decor. We literally just booked our honeymoon this morning. It's coming alone slowly but surely

Where are you guys going? We're going all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic.. we have kids and could use a week sitting in a beach chair haha. Our colors are gold and ivory, just wanted classic and simple. Try googling (or pinterest if thats your thing) to get color inspiration!

Carla, what are your favorite colors? That's a good place to start. My whole color scheme is basically my favorites in a monochromatic color scheme. I'm happy to assist if I can.

I have so much to do in 88 days. I'm getting stressed. We are both recovering from covid and lost alot of time. I need a garter, need to order my custom invites ( we are eloping so no guests...just informing a few VIP's) and make sure I have enough luggage. And I need to choose the music for our videos from their list.

I am getting married May 20th on a beach in Delaware and I started planning in September. I have everything planned and all vendors either fully paid for or initial deposit, dress paid for too. Because its on the beach I chose coral-peachish color but I'm not requiring all bridesmaids to dress exactly the same. I have read that the new thing is for bridesmaids to mix colors that are similar but not exactly the same. My beachside venue includes all decorations except flowers so I just found examples on Pinterest that i like -and sent them to the florist. I think the majority of my planning I spent scouring the web and various apps to get ideas for beach color schemes. Blue is nice but its way too common so I chose something cheery and colorful and coral seemed to fit. I live in Cali and so for me the internet was best and all vendors have been sooo helpful. Be patient, take lots of screenshots of stuff you like then slowly peel away at them until you’re left with what catches your attention the most

You'll find some beautiful ideas!! I love PINTEREST. I'll definitely post pics after we return. Blues & purples will make beautiful shades for bridesmaids gowns & everything else. You can go from very pale to deep. Best wishes!! ❤

Wedding is May 29th and I just finalized my colors! Granted, I'm having a small wedding with no wedding party but still, I felt real late in the game picking my colors as well. Your window is closing if you want bridesmaids to have a variety of choices on dresses but you have a little time still, especially if you are letting them choose their own so they can all wear something that flatters their body shape. I once bought a bridesmaids dress like 6 weeks before the wedding (I wouldn't recommend waiting that long though). What is holding you up on picking your colors? Would it help your decision if you knew that colors in a wedding traditionally signified different virtues (passion, hope, fertility).

In answer to your original question, I'm not that stressed, but I haven't got my save the dates out yet and thats really annoying to me, but also, I'm really irritated by the idea of collecting all the addresses!

I'm getting married the week before you - Friday May 6th 2022. I got engaged in August and all my vendors booked; venue, photographer, caterer, florist, hair, makeup, DJ, dessert table, and officiant. Just need my videographer. I have chosen my colors (neutral palate so not really any colors actually), decided on bridal party attire and parents attire, I have all my main decor, invitations are ready to be mailed, purchased my dress and my FH has his suit. I do still have a lot of decisions to make though; writing the ceremony, when to get license, where to put signage, signature drinks (even though we are having a full bar, we still want them), small decor pieces, day-of timeline, how/who is transporting us, where men are getting ready - lots of miscellaneous stuff! I'm definitely stressed out, but my stress is coming more from my FILs that don't agree with all the decisions my FH and I have made regarding our wedding.

You have a lot of time still. No timeline you'll ever see is going to be followed exactly. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress yourself out too much. Plan when you can and if at any point it stops being fun take a break. No one says you need to have everything figured out right away. Enjoy this exciting time in your life and take time to appreciate this journey with your FH. Best of luck to you!

What Spring flowers do you love? Maybe ask a florist what's in bloom during May for your location. Then see what colors come up for you that you are really drawn to. From there, pick a palette. Either one color for bridesmaids or one for each bridesmaid that relate. Florists are EXPERTS at color combinations. See what yours thinks! Smiley heart

I'm getting married the next day!
I still gotta find my hair and make-up but I've done almost everything else. 🙏
as for the colors my fiancé and I went to Lowes paint section and started with one color we both liked and then added on accents we could agree on. I got a bunch of each color we chose and keep a set with me when looking for dresses, flowers, centerpieces and even gave a set to my in-laws so we won't clash. And it's a cheep way to make sure that everyone is on the same page.

I’m getting married May 14 2022 as well! And I am stressed! I finally told my bridesmaids to get as close to the color that I wanted them to have. It was too much stress to have everybody go to one place and everybody wanted to look at different spots, so I said find a dress get as close to the color and show me the dress so I can approve or disapprove it. I’m in the process of booking my make up person and I’m still deciding if I want to photo booth or create my own. There’s always a little details that hopefully I don’t forget so that’s what I’m really stressing over.

    I’m a May 22 bride! 21st May 22 to be specific.

I am super organised as stress does not bode well with me a lot of my suppliers are not wanting to discuss anything with me until early next year.
But everyone is different and instead of worrying about what is left to do just make a list and prioritise on importance then slowly tick off and you will start to see everything you’re achieving Smiley smile
I would advise you get a photographer sooner rather than later as some of these get booked up 1-2 years in advance especially with the back log of weddings. Same with photo booth those things can be in demand and you want the best for your special day.
As far as colours go maybe chat with your SO and bridesmaids about what colours they look good in - I love seeing the ideas of say blue and having loads of different tones of blue and even different dress styles picked by your bridesmaids themselves so they are comfortable in what they’re wearing - look on Pinterest that will be your friend! Good Luck 💙

That's my date as well! We've had a long engagement but just started planning in June of this year. We both have big families so we're having a small ceremony dinner at a vineyard with our immediate family, 23 people, and then doing a cocktail reception with our family and friends later on in the evening. Our colors are black, gold and white. Most of the big stuff is done just finalizing the small stuff. Except the flowers. Why are they so expensive??? Good luck with your planning!!

I’m also getting married on may 20th… I got engaged in April and booked my venue in just a few weeks.. then I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses in July and I’ve gone to a few wedding expos since then. I also have our honeymoon and officiant booked. For our colors we did a variation of our favorite colors then searched “blue and purple party themes” and see what that gave us from there.

Mines May 21. We have our venue, know what cake. Officiant, hair & makeup, photographer. All my attire. Day of coordinator. Know who we are renting tables and chairs and tent from. We have our rings
Still need to finish decorations, get paper products. Small details and gifts. The guys still need to get their suits. Some bridesmaids still need to get their dresses. A few other things I can't think of right now.

My date is May 21st. So far I have done my 1st dress fitting and have gotten only some decorations for the gazebo. My colors are Turquoise and rose gold. I have my invitations kind of. I have to actually print them, I have parts of my table centerpieces. I have my venue, all of my wedding attire. That’s it!! It feels like I have time but I don’t really have time. I need table cloths, extra chairs, photographer, flower girl dresses, Fiancé’s outfit, maid of honor dress..not to mention the wedding favors.. THE STRESS! I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch!
