I would absolutely postpone! Many places are on lockdown until June 12th. And some are until April 30th, while they were supposed to only be until April 7th. Definitely find a plan B girl!

I have noticed that most vendors I work with have a God clause for things like this. We have such a small wedding that its not the number of people that would cause it to be delayed, its more the airfare and its in Corona NC where the bridge is currently shut down :/ was not planning to do a plan B lol but definitely been starting to think about it more and more

View Quoted Comment Only suggestion is to not settle! Especially since this will be still around and so for the safety of guests at this point it would be best to postpone it! I know that really sucks to hear, trust me 😩 But regardless when you have the wedding it’ll still be so special!!

We had to make the choice yesterday of postponing our May 13, obx wedding. I received this email stating when the April 30th orders lift, they might possibly extend the travel restrictions. We were to leave May 9th, so a 1 weeks notice isn't enough time for us and guests to prepare. And its not worth taking the loss on florals at such last minute. My future in laws own a home down there and can't even get a pass to get in... Crazy. Luckily all of our vendors were flexible and are able to move forward with us for the new date in October. They thought postponing was the best decision bc of too many "what ifs". If you do hold strong, I wish you luck!!

We’re May 17 and we talked to our venue and they told us we can move forward if the shelter in place is lifted we don’t need to meet a minimum anymore and only pay for who comes all our vendors are willing to work with us either way!

I'm so sorry, but I would absolutely postpone. May 14th is way too soon to be having a wedding at this point...I would get in touch with your vendors and try to get a new date in the books

I know it's so soon, we have a whole family vacation planned to the outer banks NC which has been in the books for so long and so we only have 16 people attending. Waiting to hear back from some vendors and the house we were suppose to be renting and when we'd be able to rebook. :/

I called the number for travel restrictions to get their opinion and the lady said to call back in a few weeks because they have no date in mind to even think about lifting the restrictions... After that uncertainty, we called it. Sucks!
