Mauritius for our honeymoon

My fiancé and I have been researching possible honeymoon locations and one of the top places in the world to honeymoon was Mauritius.
Has anyone been to Mauritius for their honeymoon? Is it better to work with an agent or plan the honeymoon on our own?

I have not had the luxury but the beaches look amazing I'm excited for you guys and yes I would do some research on tours, restaurants, hotels etc. not necessary to use a travel agent especially with all the extra time of people's hands right now. Good Luck and keep us posted

Travel Agents can be really great for getting solid recommendations and trip planning assistance - especially with places you've never visited before!
