A lot of people use a variation in the style of dress to make the MOH stand out. Another way is to give her a different bouquet. I can't really picture what a sash would look like. I would keep it simple!

My wedding colors are: Clover Green with accents of Platinum and Shades of Pink. My bridesmaids are wearing clover green dresses and my maid of honor and flower girl are wearing candy pink. It adds variations and there is clarification as to who the Maid of Honor is. Hope that helps some.

I think if she is wearing the light blue and everyone else is in the royal blue that will set her apart enough... I am technically doing the same thing but in pink. All the bridesmaids are wearing a bright pink and my MOH is in a lighter shade of pink... I think it sets her apart very well... Smiley smile

I would just have your matron of honor wear the same light blue as your maid of honor, but maybe have them in different styles to set them apart. You could also put her in a different but complimentary shade of light blue. Either way, I would definitely have her match more closely to the maid of honor than the bridesmaids. If not, she might just blend into the bridesmaids, and you want her to stand out and feel special for her role. Personally, I don't think a sash would make her stand out enough. Good luck!

Oh I completely missed the point of this question... sorry!!! I think both your maid of honor and your matron of honor would look set apart in the light blue... I think it would be ok to have both of them wear a light blue. You may be able to add a royal blue sash to one or the other to tie in with the bridesmaids.
