Material of charger plates

Heather, on July 29, 2019 at 2:46 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
What materials should chargers be made of? I need 125, but I'm struggling to find them priced for a bride on a budget. It's it wiser to rent or just purchase, now? Wedding is 10/26/19!!

Your material preference is up to you. Dollar Tree has basic chargers for $1 each. If you don't mind second hand, tons of people sell theirs on Facebook Marketplace after their weddings.

Ours were glass but I’ve seen cheaper ones that are acrylic. We rented because I wouldn’t have wanted to be stuck with more than 150 chargers after the wedding.

Try dollar tree! Or just skip them all together! Renting is anywhere from $3 per charger and up!

You could look to see if your local rental company has a china place setting that includes a much larger dinner plate in addition to the smaller dinner plate. For example, I rented my gold china and used the larger 12'' plate as my charger and the standard 10.5'' dinner plate as the dinner plate. This looked better, IMO, and was cheaper than renting or buying actual chargers.
