Matching David's Bridal Meadow

Rachel, on April 7, 2021 at 3:15 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
This is a looooong shot, but does anyone have any idea of another company/shade of green that's close to the David's Bridal discontinued Meadow color? My bridesmaid dresses are currently in Meadow, but due to a pregnancy and some weight gain within the party, I might have to change some dresses out. I've ordered a few swatches from other companies, but any leads would be amazing.

LOL, I've also been searching for a similar color because my mom wants to wear a light green but is unhappy with her choices.

I recommend trying Jenny Yoo, JJ's House, or Babaroni. They each have a nice sage color.

Have the dresses been altered? If not, I would see if they could be exchanged for a different color.

I think one has already, yes. But either way, I'm pretty dead-set on this color. The flowers, decorations, and men's clothes are all based around it. Hahaha.

Unfortunately, finding a dress that matches exactly might be difficult. As a bridesmaid, I know I would feel singled out having to get a different dress because of pregnancy (I'm actually currently pregnant) or because of weight gain. Gaining weight is difficult enough on your self-esteem without adding in the fact that my dress would be different because I gained weight.

Azazie Dusty Sage or Agave look really close to me. Maybe try a couple swatches from there? They also have quite a few maternity style options and prices ranging from 69 - 200 so fits most budgets too.

I totally get that, and I'm working with everyone as sensitively as possible. This is the solution we all came up with together. 3/5 of my girls would be affected by the change, so no one is singled out.

Great! I also think it would look nice if the colors are close, but not exact since 3/5 are changing. IMO it would look like intentional color blending as opposed to "oh look, she has a different dress".

With that many girls effected by it, I would look for a completely new dress rather than trying to find a color to match. I know that Azazie has Dusty Sage or Agave which would be very pretty.

You could also check on Poshmark or Facebook Marketplace or eBay for people selling their David's Bridal bridesmaids dresses in that color and in whatever size they need (or close to it)! You might be able to find a few good options on there.
