Hey ladies of WW..my fiance and I are deciding on favors. We need to buy something to use for beer mugs because that is the one thing our venue doesn't have. I suggested we just get mason jars for everyone and make it their favor by adding names/goodies etc etc. I am also trying to be super eco friendly and don't want solo cups so it's either that or order compostable cups which is price wise similar to mason jars. He thinks that people will just leave the jars and then we will be faced with getting rid of them which would be annoying since we don't live near our wedding site. Sooo I am curious if people have used them and had that problem or what the avg rate of people taking their favors actually is? Thanks!!

As far as drinking out of I would prefer a pint glass. But I probably wouldn't take either one home.

I was at a wedding in the fall and they did those as favours. They took the time to write each guest's name on the jars.

My jar said "Carolyn". I left it behind.

Also, these were the only glasses available to us the whole night. No separate water glasses or anything. It was self serve wine and beer from kegs and then jugs of water. So you had to use your mason jar for everything lol...

We are doing handled mason jars as our favor/table seating. The jars have a place to write with chalk pens, so we are writing each guest's name on the jar and attaching a rustic table number tag. Serves as their favor, water glass , and table number all in one. I bought them fro bed bath and beyond, and went on ebay to get 20% off coupons to save some extra money.

Here's the link to the item:

O my that does not sound fun!! We have plenty of other options so the only real need is something for the beer. I like the idea of glass just because it would go with everything else. Our venue has wine, water, tea cups, coffee mugs etc just not beer glasses lol which makes no sense to me but aside from that our venue is amazing!!
