Maryland September Wedding

I need advice! What would you do? My wedding is scheduled for September 26 in Maryland. Some say I should go ahead and postpone while others including my fiancé says to continue planning and make my finale decision end of July/August.

I am so frustrated with this as well! October bride over here in the Annapolis area. My venue isn't open and according to them haven't received "directive from their leaders" on what to do yet.

Invitations are supposed to go out in July. We are making our call around that time. I'm leaning towards just postponing and having a court house wedding this year. Even that has it's own hurdles! The little chapel where you could get married by the clerk is closed...so right now they have video ceremonies.

That’s what my Venue said as well. They’re haven’t been given the okay to reopen. We’re doing that exact same thing latest will be first week of August either way we’re still getting married on our original date

Hi! I just stumbled upon this post and was wondering if you have made a decision yet? I am getting married September 26th in Queen Anne's County and we just sent out our invites 2 weeks ago - now i am starting to worry though. My venue is taking so many precautions but I'm just scared people aren't going to want to be around others or dance, anything!

    Hey!

So I know this isn't your county but Anne Arundel just announced no indoor social gatherings of more than 25. I have a feeling other counties will be following within the next few weeks. My wedding is in August and I am now extremely worried again.

It said outdoors was limited to 50. At this point if the county I'm getting married in (it's not Anne Arundel) makes restrictions I'm postponing first chance I get. I figure once one county does something a few others will follow, possibly ones that border them? Hopefully the restrictions don't interfere with your plans..at least you have some time still.

    Hey Brides!

I'm getting married 9.20.20 in Kent County (from Anne Arundel). We were getting married in Maui, but we'll you know, COVID happened and I replanned a wedding in a week with 60 days left to go at the time. What is weird and confusing about the 25 indoor/50outdoor is that there is a law that said no more than 50% capacity. So by my account if a venue can hold 200 people for example then 50% is 100, but then there's the whole 25/50 rule. So freaking confused! We decided we are having mask free Wedding (outdoors so don't yell at me for not wearing a mask 😁) with just our parents and his brother and one of my uncles. Our family is comfortable with this and so are we. Each person has to make their decision as to what they are comfortable with and so that is what we're doing.
Best of luck to everyone and congratulations!

So it is super confusing! Apparently some of the new mandates do not apply to weddings, my wedding planner got confirmation on that in Anne Arundel. I’m not getting married there but saw it and asked her about it. As far as capacity most rooms can hold a lot more than what they allow you to contract you for which is something you’d want to ask about.
