Mary Kay spam or no?

milinovemberbride, on May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

Can anyone let me know if they've every gotten this email and whether or not they actually received anything of value from it? Just curious to know whether or not it's spam and/or a waste of time.

Its real! I won one and my friends and I had a great time. She let us use the products to make ourselves up while having drinks and snacks. At the end we looked so good we actually went out for real drinks.

It's a thing where you go to one of their seminars and they show you the makeup, give you a bit to put on and then try to sell it to you. Personally I wasn't fond and it wasn't a "makeover" or a "bridal bash". It was samples of makeup and then they want you to buy it....lol

    It's the way they market.

Oh no I didn't buy anything from her. And I won a bridal bash. She gave me the satin hands collection, primer and foundation, and a lip color.

All those exclamation points and that horrible font color are red flags to me.

I hate Mary Kay makeup, the only thing that's worth buying from them is their eye-makeup remover (which I've been using since I was 14). But this is how they get you in and try to sell you a bunch of products.. I would skip it.

IMO, all Mary Kay is spam. I do not leverage my personal and social relationships for the purpose of hawking overpriced wares, empowerment or no. And that's what they are trying to sell you, and in turn, get you to do.

Don't, this "bridal bash" is really just a mary kay party where she will show you her products and try to sell you - normally they aren't licensed MUAs

Mary Kay has been around a long time. I remember my home hosting a house party when I was a kid. Like with any MLM corporation you have to really watch that you don't get caught up into the pyramid. Makeup industry is big right now.
