Marrying a Firefighter

I am not a firefighter or marrying one so forgive me if I get any of this wrong...

What about having the groomsmen wear bright yellow suspenders like on turnout gear?

Using ladders as part of the décor, like little gold or silver ones with lanterns for centerpieces or a tall wood or metal one with flowers and a sign on it?

For some reason a big fire hose popped in my head and because I do a lot of handfastings I thought wouldn't it be cute to use something that looks like a fire hose as the handfasting cord.

You could have the ring bearer steer a remote control fire truck down the isle that’s holding the rings when the officiant asks for them. If you want to have fun with it, pretend like they’re misplaced and have the fire truck come save the day.

My parents had a fire truck as their getaway car after their reception. Granted, that was back in 2005, but it might be a possibility for you.

My Fh is a firefighter too however he’s very modest about it and wanted no nods in our wedding lol. But I totally thought about it. A few ideas:
- firefighter garter
- mini axe cake cutter
- ring bearer pillow made from turn outs
- you could use the Maltese cross somehow in your decor, or maybe as your monogram on items

Saw some cute things on pinterest just now that hadn't been mentioned already (like the axe cake cutter or getaway with firetruck)!

Have you thought about engagement photos with the firefighter jacket? I have seen those and have loved them.
