It's a beautiful song, but will be very difficult to dance to. I'd try it at home first, but I think it's not a great choice.

I'd love an instrumental version for other things though...

I was thinking an accoustical version....I have a great band and one guy has a Beautiful voice. I was thinking just him and a guitar....not sure though...we were planning on using The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face...thanks for the advice

That's going to be our first dance song so i say it's great!

It seems like it would be a bit hard to dance to but honestly when it first started I imagined the BP walking in. Just a suggestion.:-)

We're using it for the bridal party to come in to. That "hello in this cafe" thing threw me too but I doubt many will notice those few words.

Most people will concentrate and listen to the "Marry Me" line... so even if some of the stuff isn't 100% perfect... go with it! It obviously hit a spot in your heart.

As far as an instrumental, some DJ pools offer instrumental tracks, but that track may be difficult to find... or you could try a karaoke track.

Train is sort of "our" band. It's the only band FS and I really, really love. They're so quirky and loveable. Anyway, it seemed fitting for us to incorporate them into our wedding. I came across the song one night when searching for lyrics to put in our programs and I read the lyrics thinking "Wow, this would be an awesome first dance song if it weren't about a guy trying to talk to a stranger."

But then FS came home one night and said "We need to dace to 'Marry Me.'" So, yeah, it's officially our first dance song lol.

My girls wanted me to use this for when I walk down the isle, and I was considering it..still am..but then I found "here she comes"

Thats the song that my FS proposed to me with and we are going to dance to this as our first dance. FS and I dance to it all the time!

I agree about the cafe part...it takes away from the whole sentimental sweet marry me part for it to be in a wedding BUT the music I beautiful! I'm using the instrumental version to walk down the isle!
