Married!

We did it! Our wedding was June 29th. We had so much fun and everything went really well. Our wedding was completely DIY and with the help of a few family and friends we pulled it off. It was a crazy hectic week as I was 15 weeks pregnant the week of the wedding and we had my immigration interview 2 days before (I’m from Australia) but I managed to bake our wedding cakes and cooked most of the food for our buffet reception. My baby bump literally just started to show a few days before as well. Haha I was stressing but luckily my dress still just fit and it was such a fun surprise to announce to everyone at our reception! 😊
Planning and catering your own wedding is no joke. I’m a professional chef and I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you have experience catering for large numbers. Luckily I’m ok with a bit of chaos. The only real drama was caused by my father in law who did nothing to help anyway. But that’s a whole another story. I now definitely have a new found respect for professional wedding planners.
