I keep having this debate with my mother and I am really undecided of what I will end up doing. Both of my FSIL's are BM's and their husbands are GM. My mother however feel that my FSIL's should walk with their husband regardless of how the heights match up. What are you ladies and gents thoughts on this?

We had two marries couples in our wedding... My DHs second BM (aside from his true BM which was his Dad) and his wife which was my newest friend... But we matched them up anyway.

I didn't care about the line up (who was with who) other than my sister being the MOH. We matched couples up and then worried with height for the rest.

I hated being paired by height...as a BM (newly out of a bad relationship that I was still getting over August 2014), my sister paired me with GM who matched my height and he kept being creepy and making advances...they wound up making it so we didn't have to touch at all but were still matched up...let those in relationships be together

Lol.... who said we were arguing?!? Please screen shot that for me, thanks! This was one of many CONVERSATION my mother and I had regarding the wedding. If a conversation with one's mother on a topic they have different opinions on is an argument to you, then I don't know what to tell you. And if you want to quote me please go back and reread exactly what I said. I never said I was "staying off" so correct yourself. And yes, clearly this is your life! As I'm out looking at wedding flowers on my day off enjoying this beautiful Friday and looking forward to my weekend festivities, you are on here fussing, for what? Go take a shot of something strong, lay down, and relax or better yet go to the gym and stay off the steroids because they have you raging right now! You have a good day now, ok sweetie!

Wait my FH is significantly taller than I am, should we not walk down the aisle together? will people think it'll look odd? should I get taller heels? should I find a new FH to match my height?! O no this is seriously stressing me out now that I find out height matters!

Laura2.0 I'm not going to entertain that comment as it doesn't pertain to my post. I'd kindly advise you to please go back up and read before posting and you will see my point. Thanks!

O goodness, the point of my comment was to show you how ridiculous it is to care about height. You asked for our thoughts we gave you some thoughts. I think its ridiculous, others think its not a big deal others agree with you.

One of my bridesmaids was married to my husband's best man. They obviously did not walk together and they would not have cared if they did or didn't. The groomsmen walked out prior to the bridesmaids so the only time they walked together was out of the church and into the wedding reception when they were introduced. I had always been under the understanding that you have them stand next to you according to how close each of them are to you with the MOH and BM obviously being the closest. This would mean that couples might not necessarily walk back out together if they didn't happen to match up that way. All of our bridal party was close friends with each other so nobody cared who they were walking with and we had fun pictures with them being goofy with each other. I did want to get nice professional pictures of the couples so I did have my photographer take pictures of them together. I think you do whatever you want to do. I can't understand how someone would be upset that they don't get to walk with their significant other for the 12 seconds it takes to walk down the aisle. Good luck with your planning!!

My bridesmaids are short 5"6 and under. While his GM are all 6ft and taller except 1 lol. I'm not sure how we're goin to match everyone up. Im thinking of having them draw names out of a hat.

One of my bridesmaids is engaged to groomsmen. I'm having them walk down together because I think it'll be fun for them and then they can just rearrange at the alter

Have the GM walk in and then the BM. Problem solved.

We have three married couples in my wedding. None of them are walking with their spouse.

We considered both. We originally went by height.

Then we filled out the DJ's form, and saw how stupid it would have sounded that Mr and Mrs Person (along with 2 other couples) were all introduced at different intervals.

We paired them up instead. Now they can walk into the reception and be announced as Mr and Mrs person.

In regard to at the alter, we rearranged and took the photos we wanted after the ceremony anyway. Height order, men and women right to left, whatever you like.

I was part of a wedding where "No other couples will be paired because its MY day". I saw this as very petty and self centered. I personally would never do that to friends we love, for no valid reason.

Ummm pretty sure you're the one on here here fussing writing angry paragraphs. Sheesh. Sounds like you need to stop and smell the flowers you claim to be looking at right now - you seem pretty worked up toots.

Yep WW is my life - I am dedicated to saving one twatwaffle at a time. What's your excuse?

Oh and top of page 3: "I remember now why I stayed off of these things."

Also, Laura's comment did pertain to your post because you are arguing with Mom about heights; she's telling you how silly you sound. I guess that flew over your head.

And I can pretty much guess you're arguing with your Mom because you're pretty worked up right now. You call it a debate but naaaah, you're arguing with her. Yep.

Don't forget to look into anger management when you begin pre-marital counseling.

Best man is married to a bridesmaid... so its not really an option and they won't be walking together... I didn't even think about arranging by height. Let them walk with their husbands for sure if it is an option.

I like the idea of them being paired together. That way they will be more comfortable and have more fun

I can relate. FH best man is married and I'm having his wife be a bridesmaid. I have seen it happen where they walk together but when they go to stand they go to the correct place, to leave a spot for the moh. But when I asked for mine people have said to let them walk in how they are supposed to. But I think couples should walk in with each other. But it is just a walk. They don't have to lock arms or anything...
