Married brides! Any forest/nature photos?

Yam, on August 17, 2019 at 10:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
I really want to take photos in my ballgown out into the woods part of my venue, sort of like a woodland princess! My favorite movie is Legend and I want a scene like Princess Lily walking through the forest. ❤️ I have no idea how this will work.
Have any of you guys taken your wedding photos in more nature, rustic locations like this? Could you share a photo? How did your dress fare? Do you regret it?

Haven't done it, but had the option to add this on. My photographer offers "adventure sessions" where he takes the couple into the forest or up the mountains in their wedding attire. However, it would likely be on a different date after the wedding so the dress isn't damage before the ceremony.

Lol you know I'm going to do it after my wedding! You posted in the discussion. Do it too! Then we can do a BAM and BAF (back and forested)

I absolutely want to do it after my ceremony! I’m just not sure how I’m going to haul this puffy dress all the way into the woods, it’s a short walk. Maybe FH can carry the skirt lol.
We’re going to scope out suitable spots next week so we know where to go.

I don't have photos back yet but I will say that if your dress has a lace train, expect to be picking leaves and twigs out of it after outdoor photos 😂Other than that though, outdoor pictures in woodsy/garden-y areas were no real problem for me! My husband did carry my train a lot while we moved between photo locations, haha.

We haven't done it yet, but we will be! Our location has some woodsy areas with large beautiful trees. I'm not too worried about my dress getting dirty, because I know it will, but the photos will totally be worth it!

That’s good to know! My train’s just tulle. I wanted to chop it off but my seamstress offered a really good bustle discount, looks like FH is carrying it then! Did you have your dress cleaned/preserved? I plan on chopping off my train and having my dress dyed and turned into a renaissance ball costume after the wedding so a touch worried about permanent stains on the skirt itself.

FH and I scoped out our venue for potential spots but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get to the lake. Smiley sad Oh well. I really like some of the spots we found. Might have to get creative about avoiding signs but what can ya do? It’s just a park. Our beautiful gazebo is so pretty right now! The trees are starting to turn red, that would be so magical looking.
