Marriage or Mortgage?

Has anyone else watched this new Netflix show? The premise is that a couple gives a set budget to a wedding planner and a realtor, who then go on to 'compete' for the couple. They are shown 3 homes and 3 wedding related options and in the end the couple must choose a new home or a wedding. I'll admit it isn't the most passionate show, but it got me thinking; how many of you have had to decide between a wedding or down payment? And why did you choose a wedding instead?
