Hi there!

To my fellow April Brides: Have you all got your marriage licenses yet, or are you waiting until March?

Hi! I'm getting married on April 18, 2020 and just started looking into getting our marriage license. Where we live on Long Island, marriage licenses are valid for 60 days, so we'll probably submit the application next week just to get it out of the way. Check how long marriage licenses are valid in your town/county first before getting it. If it's only valid for 30 days, you'll have to wait until March. Good luck!

Texas is 90 days, so we should probably go soon lol. Maybe I can convince him to take some time tomorrow.

Were not getting married til may but our officiant told us to make sure that the 60 days does not run out before like a week after the wedding. Because sometimes it takes a bit to process and if the license ends before the paper work is done it wont be approved. That's in ct tho, were slow on everything 🙄🙄 we wont be getting ours til maybe 20 days before the wedding lol just to make sure.

There's not wait time here in Georgia, we plan on going two days before lol. But, it does expire after six months, which will not be an issue for us. I would pull up my state to see the requirements.

I am getting married in a different state so we are going the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding.

Made an appointment too so it would be as seamless as possible

Definitely look up rules in your state (where you’re getting married). We live in KS, but getting married across the state line in MO. I believe KS is fairly flexible, but MO gives you 30 days before it expires and you both have to go to apply. 😖

I'm getting married in April, and California is 90 days until the license expires, so we're getting ours in the middle of March! Which is coming up quick!

Im looking this up now and we have the same date. Probably going to go soon just to get it out of the way because based on the county I live in I have to travel 30min to a different city. Not far buttt we also need to renew our passports which is also in the same city so I think take care of both at the same time. I live in cali so 90 days for me like pp said. I wonder do we have to wait a processing period or does it get mailed back to us? Online it says “no waiting period between receipt of marriage license and the ceremony”
