Marriage license

I’m sure every state is different, but does anyone know if we live in New Jersey and are getting married in Connecticut where we would get our marriage license?

Connecticut. You get it in the state you’re getting married in.

If you are planning to marry in Connecticut, you must obtain a marriage license from the vital records office of the town where the marriage will take place.

Where abouts in CT are you getting married? I live in CT! But pp is correct, whatever town you plan to marry is the town you need to get your marriage license from.

I would double check with the town you live in and the town you are getting married in as the laws may be different. We just applied for our license Friday in NJ and we had to do it in the town we live in. The certified copy will be picked up in the town that we are getting married in.
