Marriage license?

When do you get it and how does the marriage license process work in CA. I am not originally from here and everything is very different state to state.

    Here you go. The CA Dept of public health has all the info. Im assuming you could also call whatever county recorder's office applies to you and ask.

    Just got our certificate last Monday in LA county. You have to fill out an application online with your info and your partners'. Then you make an appointment to pick up the license (think there is also an option to have someone perform the marriage there) in person, show you IDs and they give you a couple copies. Those forms need to be signed by your officiant and at least 1 witness the day of your ceremony which needs to be within 90s days of you getting the certificate , then sent back to the registrar's office. Then they send you your OFFICIAL LICENSE (those are different- was news to me).

    I would just double check and make sure you are doing paperwork for the correct county. I'm not 100% sure if each county is different
