Marriage license in Los Angeles

All of the court houses in LA are closed right now for non-essential business. The registrar is not issuing or processing marriage certificates right now. Sorry! I was hoping to get mine also, but we can’t 😞

Same here in Northen California. We were able to get our license before but it will expire in May.

Hi Brittaney! It sounds like you can apply online, but that you'll still need to get a license in person - which can't happen while the county clerks offices are closed.

View Quoted Comment Our date was originally April 11, we’ve now postponed to January 16, 2021 so we’re just going to wait until then. I work in the court and I would be surprised if the courts and registrar opened up again before mid June unfortunately.
